We just wanted to thank The Knot for selecting Modern Wedding Photography as a Knot 2010 best of pick. This is the third year in a row! Very exciting!!!! In the same issue you can find Jean & Tom's four page feature story. Their wedding was fantastic, (pages 184-187). I really love this issue of The Knot. I wish I could have photographed all the weddings in this edition, so many great ideas.

Long Island Wedding Photographers-Modern Wedding Photography-Dina & Andy's Engagement shoot in Brooklyn.

Andy and Dina's sister hired Modern Wedding Photography a few months ago to photograph their family's latest event. Andy and Dina are getting married! Why wasn't Dina there? She was over in Iraq serving our Country! So I finally got to meet her on Wednesday. We had a great time in spite of the heat and humidity. Dina informed me that at least it wasn't 130 degrees like it was 3 weeks ago where she was stationed. One thing you should notice about these photos is how fast the sun goes down. As a result of that in a matter of minutes you can get two totally different looks from the same scene.

I can't wait for their wedding day. It's going to be so much fun!

Long Island Wedding Photographers-Modern Wedding Photography-Megan & Conrad's Wedding at Beckwith Pointe

On Saturday we were in New Rochelle for an afternoon & evening of wedding fun. We worked with Maria Lago of www.formerlymiss.com. She did a wonderful job pulling the event together. I am partial to purple and loved the flower arrangements Putnam Valley Florist created. The ceremony was at The Holly Family Church & the reception at Beckwith Pointe, (both in New Rochelle, NY). Long Island Wedding Photographers-Modern Wedding Photography-Christy & Matthew's Montauk Wedding at Gurney's Inn.

Christy & Matthew's wedding in Montauk was a blast! The day flew by so quickly.

See the blog show for some highlights. Below is some information on their details.

Their beautiful flowers were done by Petals, 200 Forest Avenue, Locust Valley 516-674-9325. Ask for Brian Scheibel or Diana Ringrose. Christy & Matt incorporated formal photos of their dog Miles as part of the table numbers. Their brother-in-law Matthew took the photos.  They had the table numbers made by Documents and Design http://www.documentsanddesigns.com and Christy affixed the photos to the templates. The flower girls designed the awesome shells! The thank you charity cards were from http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com and Christy's best friend Dana hand-made the lovely menus. The wedding cake couldn't be more perfect. The topper is vintage. It was once on Christy's grandparents wedding cake. How cool is that :)Thank you all for such a memorable day! DC
